Welcome to Pack 110, here are some things to get you started!

Who we are:

Cub Scout Pack 110 (Castle Hills)

Facebook:  https://www.facebook.com/Pack110CastleHills/

Elm Fork District

Circle Ten Council

Boy Scouts of America

Where/When we meet:

You’ll regularly meet with our Pack and your Den. The Pack is all the Scouts from grades K – 5. The Den is just the Scouts in your grade level. Our dens will meet about 1-2 times per month. Pack Meetings are held monthly during the school year, usually in the Castle Hills Elementary cafeteria.

How to Sign Up

Register with Boy Scouts of America (BSA) — Go to https://beascout.scouting.org/

Search for our Cub Scout Unit by Zip Code (75056). Scroll down to select Castle Hills Pack 0110 Carrollton Church of the Nazarene and click the “Apply Now” button. Note: we are a non-denominational Pack. Complete the application to register your youth and pay the application fee to BSA. It should be about $85 if you are new to Boy Scouts of America.

If you are interested in being a leader for any den, you use the same website above to register as an adult (Pack will cover any leader dues)

Register with TroopTrack - https://pack110.trooptrack.com/ — This is where you will find information specific to our pack and can receive emails from the distribution list, as well as subscribe to the Pack/Den calendars. Once signed up with BSA, we will get you registered with TroopTrack, which you should be able to create your own profile/account.

Uniforms:

See below for details on uniforms, you can go in person to Scout Shop and they will walk you thru everything you would need as part of the Pack/Den (see info at top for district/council/pack information needed as they will ask at the store).

Scout Shop: 2305 South Hwy 121 Business #180, Lewisville, TX 75067

Uniform Overview - https://www.scouting.org/programs/cub-scouts/cub-scout-uniform/

Class A “Field” Uniform:

For Kinder:

Purchase the Lion blue T-shirt and hat from the Scout Shop in Lewisville or at website above. Additionally, wear this with blue pants (either your own or from the Scout Shop). To be worn at meetings, ceremonies, and to and from campouts.

For grades 1 – 5:

This is worn at meetings, ceremonies, and to and from campouts. Purchase in person at a Scout Shop or online. I find it easiest to go to the Scout shop in person because they will make sure you have all the proper uniform items and insignia and can sew it on for you there for a small fee. The Tailor at the Castle Hill Shops (next to Pie) is also familiar with how to sew them on.

Items:

· Scout Shirt and trousers: Blue for 1st – 4rd graders, Khaki for 5th graders. Note Scout shorts and pants are available at the shop. If you have your own blue/khaki pants you prefer to wear that is ok too.

· Neckerchief, slide, belt, scout cap that corresponds to your den:

· Den handbook

· Insignia for shirts: Circle 10 Council, “110” numbers to indicate our Pack, Flag, Crest Ring, World Crest Emblem. You will also add your Den number. Once you’re registered I can share that with you.

For all: Class B “Activity” Uniform: This is any Scout T-shirt. They are available at the Scout Shop and online. We also have some that the Pack has sponsored/bought (neon green ones that are drifit), that we can work to get to you once signed up. These will be worn frequently at scouting activities, hikes, camping, and during athletic activities.

Pack Dues:

Pack dues will be collected in November, once Popcorn Sales have been concluded. Popcorn sales are the primary way we raise money for our Pack. This money goes toward our pack activities all year long! It is a great way for your son to get involved in Scouts and build new skills. The more popcorn they sell, the lower the dues! During our first Pack Meeting we will kick-off popcorn sales and share all the information you need for selling popcorn.
